Halloween Straw Bale Maze at The Green Spot

October 14–31 • Monday–Saturday • 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM • 1451 Rosser Avenue East

Ready to wander, weave, and whoop your way through a towering maze of straw? We’ve brought in a whopping 300 hay bales to build a winding, wall-to-wall adventure right inside our greenhouse. Huge shout-out to our wonderful team, who worked tirelessly to design and build this labyrinth of laughs and mild frights—perfect for families, friend groups, and bold explorers alike.

Dates & Times: October 14–31, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: The Green Spot, 1451 Rosser Avenue East
Admission: $5 donation (per person)
Cause: All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity – Brandon Chapter
Build: 300 hay bales of twists, turns, and giggles!

What to Expect

Step through the entrance and choose your path—left, right, or bravely straight ahead. Around each corner you’ll find playful scenes, spooky guardians, and just enough mystery to keep everyone guessing. Younger visitors will love the friendly decorations and photo-ops, while grown-ups can test their navigation skills (or simply enjoy getting delightfully turned around).

The walls rise up around you (don’t worry—help is never far away), and the pathways branch like spiderwebs. Some routes loop back, others surprise you with watchful gargoyles, cheerful pumpkins, or critters who look just a little too hungry…

Need a breather? We’ve tucked in a few cozy spots so explorers can regroup, plan a new route, and rally the team. When you’re ready, dive back in and chase that thrilling finish!

Bench within the maze for a quick rest — Even brave explorers need to sit for a rest sometimes!

Part of the Halloween Hop

We’re teaming up with our friends at Livingstone Outdoor and Alternative Choice Garden Centre for the Halloween Hop—three spooky stops, great local causes, and fabulous prizes!

Visit any one of the three events and you’ll be entered to win a prize.
Visit all three and get your passport stamped to be entered into the Grand Prize Draw!
Each location supports a different local charity; here at The Green Spot, your maze admission supports Habitat for Humanity – Brandon Chapter.
Can’t make all three? No problem—each stop also has its own bonus prize draw you can enter.

Prizes: Every maze entry at The Green Spot gives you a chance to win a Greenhouse Gift Card. Complete all three events for the Grand Prize: a $100 gift card for each store!

Passports: Pick up a Halloween Hop passport at any participating location and enter it at any time during the events.

Make It a Treat—Visit The Secret Garden Café

After conquering the maze, pop by The Secret Garden Café for fresh baked goods, hot coffee, and cozy fall vibes. It’s the perfect reward for brave maze runners and their cheering squads.
