PROUDLY LOCAL | MADE IN MANITOBA
A Manitoba family farm. A story we're proud to share.
Raised at South Glanton Farms just north of Forrest, Manitoba, Boyd's Beef connects local families with grass-fed, grass-finished beef and the people who produce it.
For Ryan and Sarah Boyd and their family, farming is a responsibility carried across generations. South Glanton Farms is a third-generation mixed farm where soil health, conservation and regenerative agriculture help guide the work.
Boyd's Beef grew from a desire to bring their beef directly to the local community while building a more resilient family business. Their cattle are born and grazed on the farm, and the beef is processed locally.
The care behind Boyd's Beef starts long before a cut reaches your kitchen. Their grazing system gives cattle fresh pasture daily, followed by months of rest for each grazed area. That routine takes planning, attention and steady work.
Forages grown on the farm form the foundation of their beef production.
Rest between grazing allows plants to recover and new seedlings to establish.
Their pasture management encourages nutrient cycling and diversity above and below ground.
This partnership is close to home in more ways than one. Sarah is Bernie's daughter, and Ryan is his son-in-law, making Boyd's Beef part of our extended family as well as our community.
We're proud of the care they put into their farm and grateful for the opportunity to share their products with our customers. Knowing the people behind a product makes it easier to appreciate the effort that goes into it, from daily chores to the decisions that shape the farm's future.
At The Green Spot, supporting Manitoba suppliers means making room for their products and helping tell their stories. These relationships are one of the things we value most about being a local business.
We carry a selection of Boyd's Beef products at The Green Spot, giving you a place to start close to home. For their wider offering and special orders, we encourage you to connect directly with Sarah and Ryan.
