With a story dating to 1934 and a manufacturing facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Crown Cap brings a long tradition of headwear making to the wardrobe. We're proud to carry a brand with such deep provincial roots and help share the work of the people behind it.
Crown Cap began by making fitted work caps for the Western Canadian farm trade during the drought years of the 1930s. Its earliest purpose was practical: providing headwear for people working on the land.
When Paul Leinburd acquired the company in 1987, he saw an opportunity to combine the production team's traditional skills with luxury materials and new designs. Today, Crown Cap remains Canadian-owned and operated, with a family ownership story extending into a second generation.
Crown Cap's Winnipeg manufacturing team is an important part of its identity. Experienced hands and attention to materials carry that tradition forward, connecting the brand's working roots with its evolving styles.
