Loyalty Program Policy
Last updated: 2026-01-09
This Loyalty Program Policy (“Policy”) governs participation in the loyalty program (the “Program”) offered by The Green Spot Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By enrolling in or using the Program, you agree to this Policy, our Terms and Conditions, and our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable Canadian or Manitoba consumer protection laws.
1. Eligibility and Enrollment
- The Program is open to Canadian residents who are 18 years of age or older.
- Participation is available for both in-store and online purchases.
- Enrollment is free and optional.
- Household accounts are permitted, provided all members are authorized by the primary account holder.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate Program participation where misuse, fraud, or policy violations are reasonably suspected.
2. Earning Points
Members earn points (“Points”) on qualifying purchases as follows:
- Earn rate: 10 Points for every $1.00 spent
- Points are calculated on the pre-tax purchase amount
Points are not earned on:
- Taxes
- Shipping or delivery charges
- Gift cards
- Discounted or promotional items
- Clearance or final-sale items
Points are earned on:
- Regular-priced merchandise
- Services
- Workshops
- Landscaping services (earn only; see redemption restrictions below)
Points are generally credited automatically through our loyalty platform. We reserve the right to correct Points balances issued in error.
3. Points Value and Rewards
Points have no cash value and are not legal tender. They may only be redeemed for eligible rewards offered through the Program.
- Points are generally valued at approximately $0.005 per Point
- Common redemption examples include:
- 5,000 Points = $25 off
- 10,000 Points = $50 off
- Some rewards (such as free products or experiences) may not translate directly to a cash-equivalent value.
Minimum Redemption
- There is no fixed minimum redemption threshold.
- The lowest available reward currently requires 750 Points (e.g., a complimentary coffee).
- Available rewards may change from time to time without notice.
4. Redeeming Points
- Points may be redeemed in-store or online, where supported.
- Points may be used in conjunction with other promotions, unless otherwise stated.
Points cannot be redeemed for:
- Landscaping services
- Taxes, shipping, or gift cards
- Any item or service excluded at the time of redemption
Points may only be redeemed by the account holder or authorized household members.
5. Returns, Refunds, and Adjustments
- Points earned on refunded or returned items are automatically reversed at the time the refund is processed.
- If a return involves a transaction where Points were redeemed:
- The refund amount may be adjusted to reflect the value of Points used, or
- Redeemed Points may be reissued where technically feasible, at our discretion.
If Points cannot be practically reissued (for example, if they were redeemed for a non-reversible reward), we reserve the right to issue the refund net of the reward value.
All refunds remain subject to our Returns Policy.
6. Points Expiry and Account Closure
- Points expire after 12 consecutive months of account inactivity.
- Members will be notified by email approximately 30 days before Points expire, where contact information is available.
- Any Points remaining at the time of account closure or termination are forfeited and cannot be reinstated.
7. Receipts and Purchase History
- Loyalty members may request receipt reprints only for purchases associated with their loyalty account.
- Purchases made without a loyalty account cannot be retroactively added, and lost receipts for such purchases cannot be reprinted.
8. Communications and Marketing
Participation in the Program includes receiving administrative and transactional communications, such as:
