How to Use:
- Add your chosen sprouting seeds to the clean jar. The amount needed will vary by seed size, but approximately one tablespoon is suitable for many varieties.
- Rinse the seeds thoroughly with clean water, then drain completely through the sprouting screen.
- If desired, soak the seeds for 8–12 hours before beginning the regular rinse-and-drain cycle.
- Rinse the developing sprouts with fresh water approximately three times per day, draining thoroughly after every rinse so the seeds are not left sitting in water.
- Keep the jar at room temperature and out of intense direct sunlight while the sprouts develop.
- Once the first seed leaves have opened, the sprouts can be exposed to bright, indirect light to encourage greener growth.
- When ready to harvest, rinse thoroughly with cold water, remove loose seed hulls, drain well, and enjoy fresh.
Suggested Uses:
Use your homegrown sprouts to add fresh flavour and crunch to sandwiches, wraps, salads, grain bowls, and other dishes. The reusable jar can be used again and again with a wide variety of suitable sprouting seeds, making it an easy way to keep fresh greens growing indoors in any season.
Sprouting times vary depending on seed variety and growing conditions. Always use seeds intended for edible sprouting and follow proper food-safety and cleaning practices.
