Ingredients

Unbleached flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamin, riboflavin, folate), sugar, baking powder (sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), salt.
Cinnamon Sugar Packet: Granulated sugar, cinnamon.
Contains: Wheat, gluten. May contain: Milk, soy, nuts.

Preparation Instructions

All you need:

  • Crispy Cinnamon Doughnut Pancake Mix (included)
  • 500 mL (2 cups) buttermilk *or plant-based alternative
  • 2 large eggs *or egg replacer for vegan option
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for batter)
  • 6 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter *or vegan substitute (for frying and finishing)

All you do:

  1. Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, and 2 tbsp oil until smooth.
  3. Add the pancake mix and stir until just combined (batter will be slightly lumpy).
  4. Pour ¼ cup batter per pancake onto hot griddle; cook until bubbles form on top and edges appear set, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  5. In a separate skillet, melt butter with remaining oil. Toss cooked pancakes briefly in the butter mixture, then coat with the included cinnamon sugar packet for that signature “doughnut” crust.
